These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of OriginVerdict at originverdict.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
OriginVerdict provides automated signals about whether an image may be AI-generated or AI-edited, along with limited file-metadata context and stated limitations. Features, allowances, supported formats, and prices may change as the service develops.
Detector results are not proof
OriginVerdict outputs probabilistic model assessments. A score or label does not establish authorship, authenticity, intent, ownership, fraud, or misconduct. Results may be wrong because of compression, screenshots, edits, unfamiliar generators, unusual camera processing, or other factors.
You agree not to use an OriginVerdict result as the sole basis for employment, education, insurance, credit, housing, legal, disciplinary, safety, or other high-impact decisions. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate corroborating evidence and qualified review.
Your uploads
You retain your rights in images you upload. You grant OriginVerdict and its service providers a limited right to transmit and process an uploaded image only as needed to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the requested analysis.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process each image. Do not upload illegal content, highly sensitive personal material, or content whose processing would violate another person's rights.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the service for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harassing activity;
- probe, bypass, or interfere with security, rate limits, authentication, or usage controls;
- upload malware or content designed to disrupt the service or its providers;
- reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- resell access without written permission; or
- use automated traffic in a way that degrades the service or exceeds an agreed allowance.
We may limit or suspend access to protect the service, users, providers, or third parties.
Accounts
You are responsible for accurate account information, the security of your credentials, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Free and paid access
Free usage is subject to published allowances and abuse-prevention controls. Paid products, if offered, will show the price, included credits or usage, validity period, and renewal terms before checkout.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, credit packs do not automatically renew. Taxes and currency conversion charges may apply. Refunds are handled as required by applicable law and any refund terms displayed at purchase.
Third-party services
OriginVerdict relies on third-party providers for image analysis, hosting, database infrastructure, authentication, and payments. Their availability and processing may affect the service. Your use of some features may also be subject to their applicable terms and privacy notices.
Intellectual property
OriginVerdict, its design, software, text, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of OriginVerdict or third-party technology to you.
Availability and changes
The service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage of results, compatibility with every image, or support for every AI generator.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OriginVerdict is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OriginVerdict and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service or a detector result.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Where liability may be limited, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid OriginVerdict during the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify OriginVerdict and its operators against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your uploads, or your violation of these terms or another person's rights.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these terms, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment, or conduct that harms the service or others.
Governing rules
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the OriginVerdict operator, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Courts with lawful jurisdiction over the operator will hear disputes unless applicable law requires another forum.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will apply prospectively from the posted effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
